Suryakumar Yadav gave fans a tour of the Mumbai Indians’ “magical” team room, describing all of the activities available. Although showing fans around, the star batsman also announced which players or members of the staff are talented at those sports. “This is the Ishan Kishan zone,” Suryakumar says, pointing to two screens with video games plugged in. Before going on to the family wall, he goes to the table tennis table and reveals that “two of our idols,” Zaheer Khan and Robin Singh, spend a lot of time playing the sport.
Suryakumar, on the other hand, was not done yet. He then occupies a plush space with two auto racing simulators, a foosball set, a dart board, and a miniature basketball game.
The racing simulators “belong to the Pandya brothers” — Hardik and Krunal, according to the right-hander.
“They have a friendly rivalry going on between them. You’ll enjoy seeing them both sit with the wheel in their hands if you see them “Suryakumar expresses his opinion.
“I believe this place belongs to Jasprit Bumrah,” he says, pointing to the dart board.
The Mumbai Indians are gearing up for the launch of the IPL 2021 season. The reigning champions will be put to the test in their first game of the season. On April 9, they face Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.
Last year, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals in the IPL final for a record-tying fifth title. They’ve set their eyes on yet another high. Mumbai will become the first team in IPL history to win the tournament three times in a row if they win IPL 2021.
