According to rumours, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) franchise has opted not to keep any of its players ahead of the IPL 2022 super auction, and they would enter the auctions with a full purse balance of Rs 90 crore. All eight existing Indian Premier League (IPL) teams have been given till November 30 to submit their list of retained players. PBKS, on the other hand, is considering releasing all of their players ahead of the blockbuster auction for the Indian Premier League in 2022.
Despite having a star-studded lineup, (PBKS) has yet to win an Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The closest they came to winning the championship was in 2014, when they came in second place. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, they finished sixth in the rankings, and the team’s fortunes were unaffected by the name change ( previously known as Kings XI Punjab) It was previously stated that PBKS skipper KL Rahul had informed the franchise that he no longer wanted to be a part of the squad due to its lack of success.
KL Rahul, the Indian T20 vice-captain and one of the top limited-overs batsmen in the country, is anticipated to join the Ahmedabad or Lucknow franchises. Meanwhile, according to The Telegraph India, PBKS is interested in keeping Arshdeep Singh or Ravi Bishnoi. Nothing, however, has been finalised yet.
