Harry Brooke was part of the England team that recently won the T20 World Cup, beating Pakistan in the final in Melbourne.
Harry Brooke was signed by SRH for Rs 1.325 crore at the IPL auction held in Kochi on Friday. Brook entered the auction with a base price of Rs 1.5 million.
There was initially a bidding war between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals before Sunrisers Hyderabad entered the bidding war. SRH and RR then continued to paddle up and RR was finally bailed out when Brooks’ value exceeded his Rs 1.3 crore. In RR’s purse he only has 13.2 crore. The 23-year-old made his T20I debut in 2022 against the West Indies at Bridgetown. In his 17 innings for England, Brook averaged 26.57 with a batting average of 137.77. He was also part of the Australian Three Lions winning team.
This will be the first time Brook will be attending his IPL.
