Having previously represented teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals, Umesh Yadav brings a wealth of IPL experience to the Gujarat Titans. With an impressive record of 136 wickets in the tournament, he stands among the top 10 Indian wicket-takers in IPL history.

In the 2023 season, while playing for the Knight Riders, Umesh had a subdued performance, claiming just one wicket in eight appearances. Despite this, Delhi Capitals engaged in a competitive bidding war with the Titans for Umesh’s acquisition, initiated by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the base price of Rs. 2 crore. Ultimately, Gujarat Titans emerged victorious in securing the seasoned Indian pacer for the upcoming IPL season.
