Shakib Al Hasan has been signed by Kolkata Knight Riders in Rupees. $1.5 billion at his IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on Friday. The all-rounder was initially the second player to remain unsold in his set.
The team remembered the player’s name in a preferred auction when the two-time champion signed him, the last signing in the auction.
Shakib previously played for Kolkata He Knights Riders and Sunrisers He played for Hyderabad, with the former he won two titles in 2012 and 2014.
In 71 games in the tournament, he averaged 19.82 on the racket and batted at 124.49. With this ball, Shakib took 63 wickets and a bowl at a saving rate of 7.44.
The 35-year-old went unsold at Mega Auction 2022 in February.The all-rounder recently returned to captain Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup.
