IPL Prediction : Andrew Tye withdraws from IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals appoint Tabraiz Shamsi

IPL team Rajasthan Royals have signed Tabraiz Shamsi from South Africa to replace Andrew Tye for the remainder of IPL 2021. The world’s best T20I bowler will join the Royals squad for the remainder of the IPL 2021 in the UAE starting September 19th. After a gruelling season, Tye wanted to spend more time with his family.

“I must regretfully withdraw from the remainder of the IPL 2021 with the Rajasthan Royals. My long year has kept me away from home for a long time, and not making the World Cup squad has added to my dismay.

“In my best interest, I had to stay home and prepare mentally and physically for next year’s T20 World Cup.” No, I won’t be joining the Royals family this year, but I will be supporting them on”, said Tye, who returned home earlier this year when the season began in India.

Tye joins England’s Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer in missing the IPL. The Royals are hopeful England all-rounder Ben Stokes will confirm his participation soon.

Shamsi, 31, plays domestic cricket for The Titans and debuted for South Africa in a T20I series against England in 2017. Since then, he has taken 45 wickets in 39 T20Is and 32 wickets in 27 ODIs for his country. Shamsi has played 4 matches in the IPL, taking 3 wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore, who signed him as a replacement player in 2016.
