IPL prediction: Suryakumar Yadav: Pollard’s leadership inspires his team at MI Emirates

Yadav believes the qualities that made Kieron Pollard successful in the IPL will serve him well in the International League T20.

Mumbai Since landing on the Indian shores to don his Indians jersey in 2010, Kieron Pollard has been an offensive force against Indian Premier League (IPL) bowlers.

Former MI his teammate Suryakumar Yadav gave his thoughts on Pollard’s leadership in an exchange with MI TV.

Yadav is confident that the qualities that made Kieron Pollard successful in his IPL will also serve him well in the International League T20 (ILT20).

“Pollard is very calm and composed as a leader and I feel like he gives everyone a chance to express themselves on the field, whether the team is under pressure or we are at the front line. I feel comfortable leading MI and will do the same at MI Emirates.” Yadav, the star hitter in the Mumbai Indians’ lineup, added he was thrilled to see his teammates thrash the bowling offense in the fledgling UAE tournament.

Over the years, the strong West Indies all-rounder has played a key role in establishing Mumbai his Indians as one of his most dominant teams in the IPL. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians won his five IPL titles in his 13 years. His two of them were back-to-back seasons.

Now a Trinidad native, he brings the same qualities he brings to the inaugural edition of ILT20 as he heads MI his Emirates.

His ILT20 debut season will take place from January 13, 2023 to his February 12th. MI Emirates kick off their campaign against Sharjah Warriors in Abu Dhabi on 14 January.
