Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, and Imran Tahir of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have landed in Chennai to join the team bubble ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2021. Due to their participation in the recently finished Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021, Du Plessis, Bravo, and Tahir will only be isolated for two days before rejoining the CSK bubble.
CSK tweeted, “3x the Excitement Fafulous Champion Express.” The 14th season, which was postponed in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will start on Sunday in Dubai with a match between Chennai Super Kings and the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Following the CSK-MI match, the action will go to Abu Dhabi, where KKR will face Royal Challengers Bangalore.
On September 24, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah’s first match. There will be 13 matches in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, and 8 in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, after a brief pause due to the COVID-19 incident, the IPL will welcome fans back to the stadiums.
