R Ashwin, India’s best off-spinner, has answered to a fan’s inquiry about a possible homecoming for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2022. Ashwin revealed on his Youtube channel’s new section ’40 Shades of Ash’ that CSK is a series that is close to his heart and that he would love to make a comeback, but it all relies on the auction dynamics.
“CSK is a franchise near and dear to my heart; it’s like a school to me. That is where I attended Pre-KG, LKG, UKG, and primary school, followed by middle school, and finally high school, where I completed my 10th grade board exams before transferring to a new school. I did my 11th and 12th grades outside for a number of years. After that, I went to Junior College for a few of years. But, after finishing everything, one must return home, right? So, while I’d like to return home, it all relies on the auction dynamics “he stated
R Ashwin went on to claim that there isn’t a single player who doesn’t want to play for CSK. “If you ask any cricketer if they’d like to play for CSK, not a single cricketer will say no, because that is the kind of franchise CSK is, with its records, rich history, and the way they look after their players’ well-being, every cricketer would want to play for CSK.”
He also stated that he is a big fan of Tamil Nadu cricket and would relish a homecoming if it is possible.

R Ashwin stated that it is difficult to forecast IPL auctions and that as a professional, it is important for him to always give his all to the franchise that has placed his trust in him and has paid a lot of money to secure his services. “However, I recognise that auction dynamics are a different kettle of fish. There are ten groups working on ten distinct strategies. They’ll all have distinct perspectives. We don’t know whose team’s starting lineup we’ll be in. So, let’s see how the auction goes.
