IPL TOSS BHAVISHYAVANI : Rajasthan Royals are given an ABD warning by the Royal Challengers Bangalore

AB de Villiers, a cricketer with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), is having an outstanding season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. He has 125 runs at an incredible strike rate of 189 in just three games and will be looking to continue his fine form when RCB face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL match 16 in Mumbai on Thursday. In the cash-rich league, Rajasthan are AB de Villiers’ favourite rivals, and he has shown his preference for them by scoring 648 runs in just 19 innings at an average of 46.29 and a strike rate of 146.61. In the IPL, ABD is the leading run-getter against RR, and RCB used these statistics to mock the Sanju Samson-led team on Twitter on Thursday.

“For us, it’s a fantasy, but for the Royals, it’s a nightmare. Is there going to be another AB special tonight?” RCB posted an infographic of AB de Villiers on Twitter.

The last time Rajasthan Royals played RCB in the IPL, the Bangalore-based team thrashed them by seven wickets, thanks to an ABD extra.

Rajasthan scored 177 runs for the loss of six wickets in the 33rd match of the IPL 2020. RCB responded by winning by seven wickets with two balls to spare. With the bat, De Villiers shone, scoring 55 runs in 22 deliveries at a mind-boggling strike rate of 250. He hit one four and six sixes in his innings.

De Villiers is the IPL’s sixth-highest run scorer. In the IPL so far, he has a strike rate of 152.65 and has scored 4974 runs from 172 matches.

Meanwhile, in IPL 2021, RCB is living the fantasy. With three wins in as many tournaments, they are in second position in the IPL points table.
