On Friday, former England captain Michael Vaughan expressed his belief that the Indian cricket team has not lived up to its potential, given the talent and resources at its disposal. Vaughan noted that India’s performances have lacked global trophies in the past decade, prompting him to question whether they are one of the most underachieving sports teams worldwide. During a Fox Sports panel discussion, Vaughan directed the question to former Australian batsman Mark Waugh, who acknowledged India’s limited recent success.
Vaughan praised India’s series victories in Australia but criticized their performance in recent World Cups, emphasizing that with their talent and resources, they should have achieved more. Despite acknowledging India as a good team, Vaughan maintained his view that they fall short of expectations given their capabilities.
