The Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed England batsman Jason Roy as a substitute for Mitchell Marsh, who has withdrawn from the season due to personal reasons.
Marsh, who debuted in the Indian Premier League in 2010, has appeared in 21 games. Jason Roy, his successor, made his IPL debut in 2017 with Gujarat Lions and went on to play for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the 2018 edition. He has appeared in eight matches and scored 179 runs, including one half-century.
Roy was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2 crore as his base price.
