Jasprit Bumrah Bio

Bumrah was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on December 6, 1993, to Daljit Bumrah and Jasbir Singh Bumrah. When he was seven years old, he lost his dad. Daljit Bumrah, his mother, was a school principal who raised her children alone. Juhika is Bumrah’s younger sibling.

Jasbirsingh, Jasprit Bumrah is an Indian cricketer who has played for his country at the international level.

Bumrah represents Gujarat in first-class cricket in India. He also plays in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians. Jasprit is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who is one of India’s best. Jasprit is known for his fast-paced bowling style and aggressive in-swinging yorkers.

Bumrah is also well-known for his unusual bowling style. He can bowl at a speed of 140–145 km/h (87–90 mph) on a daily basis. This not only makes him one of India’s best bowlers, but also one of the world’s fastest.

Career

Domestic Career

During the 2013–14 season, Bumrah made his first-class cricket debut for Gujarat against Vidarbha in October 2013. In his debut match, he was outstanding, taking 7 wickets. Bumrah was the team’s top wicket-taker at the end of the tournament.

Bumrah made his T20 debut against Maharashtra in the 2012–13 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after winning the Ranji Trophy. Bumrah was named Man of the Match after playing a vital role in the finals.


IPL Career

At the age of 19, Bumrah made his IPL debut. He played his first IPL game against RCB and came out on top, finishing with a decent 3/32 figure. As a result, he became just the second bowler in tournament history to take three wickets in his first game. In 2014, the Mumbai Franchise got him back. Since then, Jasprit has become an important part of the Mumbai Indians.

International Career

Bumrah made his Indian cricket debut against Australia in a T20I on January 27, 2016. He finished the calendar year with 28 wickets, making him the top wicket taker in T20I.

Bumrah made his One-Day International debut against the West Indies on August 30, 2016. Bumrah set a milestone in 2017 by taking the most wickets (15) by any fast bowler in a bilateral ODI series of five or fewer matches, which he did against Sri Lanka. Bumrah, on the other hand, made the biggest blunder of his career by bowling a no-ball in the Champions Trophy 2017 final, which would have resulted in a wicket.

Bumrah made his Test debut against South Africa in November 2017. Bumrah couldn’t have pleaded for a better maiden wicket than South African legend AB de Villiers, who he clean bowled. During the 3rd Test Match of the India Tour of South Africa 2017-18, at Johannesburg (5/54), Bumrah took his first five-wicket haul in Tests in the same series. During the India Tour of Australia 2018, Bumrah was crucial. On Boxing Day, he took another five-wicket haul. In the same calendar year, he became the first Asian bowler to take five-wicket hauls in Australia, England, and South Africa. He was a member of the first Indian squad to ever win a test series against Australia on Australian soil. About the fact that Bumrah was never called a test cricketer by the pundits, his test wickets speak for themselves.

ICC World Cup

Bumrah has been added to India’s World Cup squad for 2019. He was called one of five thrilling newcomers to the Cricket World Cup by the International Cricket Council (ICC). During India’s match against Sri Lanka, Bumrah took his 100th ODI wicket, becoming the second-fastest Indian to do so after Mohammed Shami. In the 2019 World Cup, he was India’s leading wicket-taker. With eighteen wickets from nine matches, he finished fifth overall.
