IPL Auction:
What will be LSG’s auction strategy when he hits 405 players in Kochi on Friday, December 23?
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction will take place in Kochi on Friday (December 23rd).
The 10 franchise solidifies its roster after releasing more players ahead of the IPL’s 16th edition. The Mini Auction has a maximum of 87 slots, allowing 30 international players to participate in the league.
LSG’s auction strategy looks like this:
Lucknow Supergiants
Remaining wallet:
2.335 billion rupees
Total slots available:
Ten
Slots available internationally:
Four
LSG IPL Auction Strategy:
The Lucknow Supergiants are packed with all-rounders, but they lack expertise in their area and need to punch more. After a solid opening pairing of Captain KL Rahul and Quinton de Kok, a solid option in the middle order supports the team well.
Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda will be in charge of the finish. After letting Dushmantha Chameera go, LSG are in need of a reinforcement for injury-ridden Mark Wood, which could break Sam Curran’s bank. Jason Holder has been sacked from Lucknow and to the surprise of most, the move could set the stage for a major deal with Ben Stokes or Cameroon Green.
