Najibullah Zadran Bio

Najibullah Zadran is an Afghan cricketer who plays international cricket for the Afghanistan Men’s National Cricket Team. Najibullah is a left-handed batsman who is known for his powerful hitting. Zadran is a right-handed off-break pitcher. Najibullah was born in Afghanistan on February 18, 1993.

International Career

During the 2011 Under-19 World Cup Qualifier in Ireland, Zadran made his debut for Afghanistan in international cricket. On July 5, 2012, he made his senior team international debut against Ireland. On September 19, the same year, he made his T20 debut against India.

Domestic Career

Zadran made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs against Rawalpindi Rams in the Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cup.

Najibullah was picked to play for the Montreal Tigers in the inaugural Global T20 Canada tournament on June 3, 2018. In the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League, Najibullah was a member of the Kandahar team. In the Bangladesh Premier League, he plays for the Chittagong Vikings.

For the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, Zadran captained the Afghanistan under-23 side.

Najibullah Zadran was selected to Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in April 2019.
