New Zealand keeper-batsman Finn Allen joins RCB replacement of Josh Philippe IPL 2021

Royal Challengers Bangalore has signed wicketkeeper-batsman Finn Allen from New Zealand as a backup for Josh Philippe, who will be out for the entire season. Philippe, who debuted in 2020, appeared in five games for the team and scored 78 runs. Finn, his successor, has played in 12 First-Class games for New Zealand and has three half-centuries to his credit.

Finn had a starting price of INR 20 lakhs, which was the same as Josh Philippe’s. Finn will appear for Royal Challengers Bangalore in his first VIVO IPL season this year.

The 14th edition of the IPL is scheduled to begin on April 9 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

In addition, the IPL 2021 will be held in six cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
