Rahul Tripathi made his T20I debut for India against Sri Lanka on Thursday, at his home ground at Maharashtra’s Association Stadium in Pune.
The 31-year-old is his 102nd player to represent India in the T20I.
Sunrises Hyderabad retained Tripathi ahead of his auction of Indian Premier League minis.
The Pune boy came on as a substitute for Sanju his Samson, who injured his knee in the first match of the series in Mumbai on Tuesday. The right-handed hitter appeared in 125 games with the T20, averaging 26.93 with 2801 runs and a 134.14 batting average.
