Career

Praveen Dubey, a legspinner, made his List-A debut in the 2015-16 season after putting in strong performances in the 20-over Karnataka Premier League. In the 2014-15 KPL season, he took seven wickets in six matches for Hubli Tigers, with an economy rate of 5.90. Dubey improved on that the following season, taking eight wickets at an economy rate of 6.89 in nine KPL matches for Belgavi Panthers

In the 2015-16 season, he represented Karnataka in two Vijay Hazare Trophy 50-over matches. When Royal Challengers Bangalore purchased him for INR 35 lakh at the IPL 2016 player auction, he was yet to appear in a first-class match. He was dropped by the franchise after failing to get a game, but he was repurchased at his base price of INR 10 lakhs in the 2017 IPL player auctions.
