“Batter Teunis De Bruin will miss his third #AUSvSA test in Sydney as he returns home for the birth of his first child. We wish him the best of luck in this exciting part of his life,” Cricket South Africa (CSA) tweeted on Saturday.
De Bruyn’s absence means van der Dussen could find a way back into the playing eleven or give strong reserve wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen, who has only played one Test, a chance.
South African thugs have fought in this series. The visitor has so far been left out in his two tests of 152, 99, 189 and 204 points.
South Africa has a 3-game series he’s tied 2-0. Protea was third in the World Test Championship (WTC) race, but a losing streak dropped it to fourth behind Australia, India and Sri Lanka.
His third test by both sides starts here on January 4th.
