Shreyas Iyer has resumed training in order to be ready for the IPL’s UAE leg.

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium officials have said that the site is ready to provide safe games, only one day after the Board of Control for Cricket in India published the IPL schedule. The BCCI has given Sharjah ten of the remaining 31 IPL games.

“We are more than prepared and eager to welcome the players in a safe and secure setting. Our facilities are constantly being updated, and our pitches have shown to be excellent for events like the IPL in the past. It is a pleasure to host this world-class event once again “Sharjah Cricket Stadium’s CEO, Khalaf Bukhatir, said.

When Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 223 runs in IPL 2020, the Sharjah Stadium saw the greatest run chase in IPL history. On September 24, a match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be played at the stadium for the first time this year. Two play-off games will be held at the venue: Qualifier 2 on October 11 and the Eliminator on October 13.
