After Taslima Nasreen’s widely condemned tweet in which she wrote: “If Moeen Ali wasn’t stuck with cricket, he would have gone to Syria to join ISIS,” England cricketers Jofra Archer and Sam Billings have come to Moeen Ali’s defence. Taslima Nasreen later deleted the article and clarified that she was being “sarcastic” in a separate tweet.
Haters know very well that my Moeen Ali tweet was sarcastic. But they made that an issue to humiliate me because I try to secularize Muslim society & I oppose Islamic fanaticism. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is pro-women leftists support anti-women Islamists.

“Haters are well aware that my tweet about Moeen Ali was cynical. However, they brought it up to humiliate me because I am working to secularise Muslim culture and condemn Islamic fanaticism. Pro-women leftists endorsing anti-women Islamists is one of humanity’s biggest tragedies “Taslima Nasreen penned this piece.
Jofra Archer, Sam Billings, and Saqib Mahmood, all of England’s fast bowlers, were among those who slammed the author’s offensive message.
Archer wrote in response to Nasreen’s original tweet, “Are you all right? I don’t believe you’re in good health “..
With her second post, he slammed Nasreen’s attempt at damage control.
“Are you being sarcastic? No one, not even yourself, is kidding, so the very least you can do is delete the tweet “Archer penned the article.
