India chose bowling against New Zealand
Unlike the ODI series, India chose the more convenient option of chasing at lunch after winning the toss in the opening game of the T20I series.Indian captain Hardik Pandya spoke of the expected ropes. In fact, he said he could feel the dew at 6:30pm.
India has recovered his Yadav from left wrist spinner Kuldeep after a spectacular comeback in his ODI and Test in the T20I XI. Prithvi Shaw did not make a direct comeback with his XI as Pandya suggested on the eve of the series.
Team management recruited He Shubman Gill and He Ishan Kishan as openers. Gill was the lone anchor in the batting lineup.
