Royal Challengers Bangalore (Women’s Premier League team) has announced a new scouting program to recruit fast bowlers from Karnataka.
The announcement was made via social media by former Indian international cricketer Vanitha VR, a talent scout for the newly formed team.
Social In her media post, she recruited fast bowlers who can bowl faster than 130 km/h.
Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd Group acquired the Bengaluru franchise at an auction held last month for her Rs. 910 million. RCB chairman Prathmesh Mishra said the franchise is refraining from bidding for teams in the men’s ILT20 and SA20 leagues to focus on the WPL. Mishra said, “We have withheld all investment in overseas teams in order to own a team that aligns with that philosophy and core values, and we are very pleased to see the results positively.
