Visibly nervous Sri Lankan cricketers surrounded the duo undergoing treatment. When both Bandasei and Bandara were cleared from the field, Virat Kohli asked Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka if everything was okay.

Previously, Kohli had smashed his 46th century with his ODI, bringing tons in 85 shipments. Shubman Gill scored his second century in this format when he was dismissed in 116 of his 97 deliveries.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the draw and opted to bat at his stadium green field in Trivandrum. Kohli’s century is second in the series and third in the last four ODIs. The Indian batsman scored 113 in the third and final ODI of the series against Bangladesh and scored the same 113 in the opening game of the Sri Lanka ODI. Kohli finished the innings with an impressive unbeaten 166 with 4 for 13 and 6 for 8. India have already won the series against Sri Lanka after beating the visitors by 67 runs in Guwahati and another four-wicket win at Kolkata’s legendary Eden Gardens Stadium.
