IPL 2021 : As the quarantine period ends, don’t miss Chris Gayle’s ‘Moonwalk’ to Michael Jackson’s hit

Chris Gayle, the Caribbean star for the Punjab Kings, was released from his quarantine, and the “Universe Boss” wanted to celebrate in style. Gayle dazzles in a video posted by the franchise with his dance to Michael Jackson’s hit song “Smooth Thief.” The 41-year-old, who is known for his love of drinking and dancing, kills it on stage, even nailing Michael Jackson’s iconic moonwalk. Punjab Kings captioned the video on Twitter with the phrase “Quarantine da khatam khel, bahar aa gaye tuhadde favourite – Chris Gayle.”

Gayle put in some vital performances with the bat for Punjab Kings in IPL 2020, despite playing at no. 3 instead of his normal opening slot, despite not playing for a run of games at the start of the season.

The left-hander scored 288 runs in seven games, for an average of 41.14 and a strike rate of 137.14.

In the defeat to Rajasthan Royals, he had the highest score of 99.

Gayle is expected to play a key role in the IPL 2021, as the PBKS aim to build on last year’s success and make the playoffs.

Punjab Kings made a huge splash in the pre-season mini-auction, bringing in Australian pacers Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson, as well as Dawid Malan, the top-ranked T20 International batsman.

They also paid Rs 5.25 crore for Tamil Nadu batsman Shahrukh Khan, who shone in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

On April 12, PBKS will play Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to begin their season.
