Tewatia got his first call-up to the Indian cricket team in their recent T20I series against England, thanks to his fiery performances during IPL 2020. Despite being called up, Tewatia did not play in any of the five-match series, which India won 3-2.
The 27-year-old batted in 14 matches last season, accumulating 255 runs with a top score of 53. In addition, he hit 13 fours and 17 sixes. The spinner took ten wickets while bowling.
