IPL 2021 : Pat Cummins claims that Gautam Gambhir was still aggressive as a captain

Pat Cummins, an Australian fast bowler, praised Gautam Gambhir’s aggression in leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to their second Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2014. KKR won the IPL in 2012 and 2014 under Gambhir’s leadership, beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) in the finals. Cummins, who debuted in the IPL in 2014, said he had a good time playing under Gambhir’s leadership. On his Instagram account, the KKR pacer also mentioned that his favourite IPL moment was winning the title in 2014.

In a video shared on social media, Cummins said, “My favourite moment was my first IPL in 2014 with Kolkata winning the title and then returning to the next day and seeing hundreds of thousands of fans on the street going wild.”

“I enjoyed playing under GG (Gautam Gambhir) as a captain because he was always very violent, which I liked,” he said.

“I like seeing Bumrah bowl and KKR youngster Kamlesh Nagarkoti,” Cummins said in response to a fan’s question about which bowler he enjoys watching.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann was signed by KKR last week as a backup for Rinku Singh, who will be out for the entire IPL 2021 season due to a knee injury..

Gurkeerat has been purchased by KKR for Rs 50 lakhs. Gurkeerat will compete in the IPL for the eighth time in 2021.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians will appear in the first match of the IPL 2021 on April 9. On April 11, KKR will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match.
