Arunkumar made 7,208 top-flight runs in a career over 15 years before becoming his Karnataka coach in 2012. He led the team, Ranji his trophy, Vijay Hazare his trophy, Irani his cup he won two seasons in a row.

Arunkumar also served as head coach of the US Men’s National Team for two years. Arunkumar used to work in Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) where he was an assistant to Virender Sehwag. Nationally, in addition to Karnataka, I have worked in Hyderabad and Puducherry.
