Joe Root will not be sold at the 2023 IPL auction.
Joe Root was left unsold at the IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on Friday. A player was registered with a base price of his Rs. One hundred million.
Root said he went unsold at his IPL auction in 2018 and never entered the T20 league. Root was also removed from T20, where the Three Lions were deployed.His last appearance for England in T20I was in May 2019. However, Root played a key role in England’s runners-up finish at the 2016 T20 World Cup, scoring 249 runs at an average of 49.8 and scoring 146.47.
Players can be recalled to the auction at the request of the team.
