The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction will take place in Kochi on Friday (December 23rd).
The 10 franchise solidifies its roster after releasing more players ahead of the IPL’s 16th edition. The Mini Auction has a maximum of 87 slots, allowing 30 international players to participate in the league.

IPL Auction Strategy:
Knight Riders face the dilemma of having to fill the second most slots with the smallest available wallet. The INR 7.05 crore needs to be tweaked to get the wicketkeeper and opening batsman. Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who has yet to make his IPL debut, is the team’s only recognized wicketkeeper. Given that Garbaz is playing, he needs an opening partner, preferably an Indian, as Tim Saussy, Sunil Narin and Andre Russell fill the remaining overseas spots. Narayan Jagadeesan, Vivrant Sharma, Shubham Khajuria and Rohan Kunnummal are options KKR might consider given their tight wallets. Mayank Agarwal is an ideal candidate, but former Punjab his Kings skipper could be suspended from a financially struggling franchise.
