IPL Prediction : Harshal Patel sets a new IPL record with a three-wicket haul against Rajasthan Royals

On Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) seamer Harshal Patel, who presently wears the Purple cap, surpassed the record for most wickets by an uncapped player in an Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Harshal achieved the feat during RCB’s 7-wicket victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR), taking three wickets in the penultimate over of Rajasthan’s innings. Harshal’s three-wicket haul brought his IPL record to 26 wickets from 11 matches this season.

Harshal broke the record formerly held by RCB colleague Yuzvendra Chahal for most wickets by an uncapped player in an IPL season. Chahal got 23 wickets in the 2015 IPL.

Harshal Patel was signed by RCB from Delhi Capitals, and he proved to be the game-changer that Virat Kohli and his team were hoping for.

Harshal Patel set a new record for most wickets in a season by an RCB bowler with his three-wicket haul on Wednesday.

Previously, the record was shared by Chahal and R Vinay Kumar, who both had 23 wickets.

In this year’s IPL, Harshal has become Kohli’s go-to bowler. The 30-year-old recently scored a hat-trick against the Mumbai Indians.

Harshal will attempt to break Dwayne Bravo’s IPL record for most wickets in a single season.

Bravo got 32 wickets for CSK in the 2013 IPL.
