Dubey represents Vidarbha in domestic cricket, while Rizvi plays for Uttar Pradesh.

Dubey gained attention with his explosive batting displays in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, amassing 221 runs in seven innings at a remarkable strike rate of 187.28. His pivotal role in Vidarbha’s record run-chase against Bengal, where he scored an unbeaten 58 off 20 deliveries, showcased his impact as a player.

Rizvi, on the other hand, emerged as the leading six-hitter for Kanpur Superstars in the UP T20 League, scoring 455 runs with two explosive centuries. His impressive performance led to trials with multiple IPL franchises, and he ultimately chose to play for the U-23 UP team.

Mitchell Starc stole the spotlight by becoming the most expensive purchase in IPL history, securing a staggering bid of Rs 24.75 crore from Kolkata Knight Riders. This surpassed the record set by his Australian teammate Pat Cummins earlier in the auction. Cummins, who fetched an unprecedented Rs 20.50 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad, witnessed a frenetic bidding war involving Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ultimately, SRH secured Cummins’ services, breaking the bank with the highest-ever bid in IPL history, surpassing the previous record set for England’s Sam Curran last year.
