Legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, after a centuries-old blow to the established opening pair at the 3rd One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand on Tuesday. The veteran opener matched Ricky Ponting’s performance and in a 50-over format he scored 30 tons. The 35-year-old smashed his second-fastest century of his ODI career. Rohit now holds the record for his third-most registered centuries in ODI cricket, along with former Australian skipper Ponting.

Ponting and Rohit have each covered his 30th century in his ODI career. Rohit trails only master blaster Sachin Tendulkar (49) and former Indian skipper Virat Kohli (46) on the list of hitters with the most ODI centuries. India’s all-format captain Rohit has scored over 9781 runs in his 241 ODIs for a two-time world champion.
When discussing his third ODI among the 2019 World Cup finalists, Rohit and Gill struck his partnership for the best opening of his 50 overs against the Black Caps in his format. Building on Gill and Rohit’s fast-paced century in Indore, Team India posted a whopping 385-9 aggregate in 50 overs.
