On September 15, 2015, Mohammed Azharuddeen made his first-class cricket debut for Kerala. In the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy, he made his first-class debut against Goa. In the 2015-16 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he made his List A debut on December 20, 2015. On the 2nd of January 2016, he made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He has 959 runs at an average of 24 in 22 first-class matches. Azharuddeen has 404 runs in 22 T20s, according to his T20 figures.
