Prediction of cricbuzz: “Learning from other countries like India”: Brutal swipe from ex-Pakistan star at Babar Azam & Company during New Zealand series

The former cricketer is unsure if Pakistan has a front-runner to replace T20I captain Babar Azam.

While Rohit Sharma-led India beat New Zealand in the backyard, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria launched a scathing attack on the Babar Azam-led side over a so-so performance at home against the Black Caps. Led by veteran opener Rohit, Team India won the first two games of the three-game opera to secure a series victory over New Zealand. India’s biggest rivals, Pakistan, have been overwhelmed by New Zealand, who are yet to win a single game against Rohit’s side in their ongoing match.

Kanelia was unsure if Pakistan had a front-runner to replace his T20I captain Babar, and Green his army scored a huge total against New Zealand even at home in his series. I pointed out that I’m having a hard time doing it. Kaneria shared a video on his YouTube channel criticizing Babar’s batting performance against New Zealand. Pakistan, led by Babar, failed to reach his 300 runs in his ODI series in his three games against New Zealand. The Green Army also scored a modest fold of 182 total in his ODI in his second which New Zealand won by his 79 runs.

“Pakistan needs to think about who to hand over the T20 captain if he takes it from Babar Azam. Has anyone achieved 200 points? Was there an overwhelming performance? No. We must be aware of all this and learn from other countries like India that take advantage of their terms…but here we fear being exposed on our own terms.” Kaneria said on his YouTube channel.

Kaneria praised his India team for taking advantage of home conditions against New Zealand in his three-game series. A former cricketer and full-time pundit, he suggested Pakistan had not put out a results-oriented wicket at home, and said Babar’s recent strike had failed to inspire the Green Army.

“Now India has a chance to test the bench in his third ODI and give new players a chance. But in Pakistan it’s all about thinking about yourself. Babar Azam 50-60 runs , and the team doesn’t get any benefit from losing,” added Kaneria.
