Real cricket match prediction: Concussed Ballance out of Zimbabwe T20 vs Ireland

Zimbabwe’s former England hitter Gary Balance withdrew from Saturday’s T20 match against Ireland in Harare with a concussion.

The 33-year-old was hit in the head in Thursday’s opener as Zimbabwe won by five goals and led a three-game series 1-0.

Zimbabwe team doctor Solomon Mazogo said: “Balance is showing symptoms of a mild concussion and advised him to rest as a precaution to allow him to fully recover.

The batsman made his debut in his home country this week after appearing in his five-year Test and his one-day international match in England from 2013.

Balance was released by England’s County of Yorkshire last year after admitting to using racist language against his teammate Azeem Rafiq. He later apologized personally.

The Pakistani-born Rafiq’s revelations about institutional racism led to drastic changes at the club.

Ireland won a draw and settled on the field, with both teams showing a change from Thursday.

An innocent Kaia appeared on the balance, and the tourist replaced Barry McCarthy with Graham Hume.
