T Natarajan receives a vehicle from Anand Mahindra in exchange for a “treasure.”

After gifting India pacer T. Natarajan with a new car, business magnate Anand Mahindra was overjoyed to receive a treasured present from the bowler.

After presenting India pacer T. Natarajan with a Mahindra Thar, Anand Mahindra was ecstatic to receive a “return gift” in the shape of a jersey signed by the rising star. Mahindra, who gave India’s latest pace discovery Natarajan a new vehicle, received a precious return gift in the form of the left-arm bowler’s jersey, which he wore during the historic Brisbane Test against Australia in January. The businessman, overjoyed at receiving the gift, wrote, “Thank you so much, Nattu. The return gift will be treasured and worn with dignity.”

Mahindra’s tweet was in response to Natarajan’s two-part tweet from Thursday. “Today, as I drive the beautiful Mahindra Thar home, I am grateful to Shri Anand Mahindra for recognising my journey and appreciating it. I’m sure that, with your enthusiasm for cricket, you’ll find this signed shirt from the #Gabba Match to be meaningful.”

Natarajan’s meteoric growth has been remarkable. He got a lot of respect for his accuracy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, where he played for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH).

His success in the IPL earned him his first call-up to the Indian national team for the tour of Australia last year. Multiple injuries in the squad presented Natarajan with a window of opportunity, and he was able to play all three formats, impressing everybody.

Anand Mahindra had declared that he would gift each of the pacer and five other youngsters — Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Washington Sundar — a Thar after applauding their performances during the tour Down Under.
