Mitchell Santner says his time spent with the Chennai Super Kings under Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Stephen Fleming will help him lead New Zealand in India’s T20I series.
Santner also led the team in his third and final T20I in India in 2021. He serves as captain of the crew in the absence of regular skipper Kane Williamson.
“Both [Dhoni and Fleming] look very calm and cool and I like that because I feel like they are similar. was a great experience. “I think it’s good to be back home, and Fleming (Fleming) is the same, very calm, quite relaxed and he tries to do that with this set-up,” said the left-hander before the start of the series.
