Royal Challengers Bangalore, an IPL team, is now known as Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The news was revealed on Tuesday during the RCB Unbox event held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in this city.
The team management hopes that a stronger connection with the city’s residents would result from the new moniker.
The new moniker was revealed by RCB captains Smriti Mandhana of the women’s squad, Faf du Plessis of the men’s team, and star batsman Virat Kohli.
At RCB’s home arena, the news was made in front of a full house. against March 22, RCB takes against Chennai Super Kings in the opening game of the 2024 Indian Premier League.
