Australian wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy has been ruled out of the three-game T20I series against Pakistan at home as she continues to recover from a calf injury sustained during her recent tour of India.
Healy is expected to qualify for his T20 World Cup in South Africa in February, according to a statement from his Australian cricketer. As she continues her rehab, she will remain on her roster for the entire series.
Healy, who captained Australia during the absence of Meg Lanning on the tour to India, missed the fifth T20I in Mumbai after suffering a calf strain while batting in the fourth game. was unable to bat or perform again in that game, and Talia McGrath took over as captain. Beth Mooney, who held the wicket in Healy’s absence for the last two games, will retain that role for the rest of the series.
Australia announced his T20I squad for the Pakistan Series and his T20 World Cup earlier this week. Captain Lanning made his return to international cricket from August 2022 and legspinner Georgia his Wareham is also back in the team after his last playing for his T20I in October 2021.
Australia will have her three ODIs with Pakistan in Brisbane on 16th January and her T20Is starting in Sydney on 24th January. His second T20I will be in Hobart on his 26th January and his final T20I will be in Canberra on his 29th January. Australia’s first match at the T20 World Cup will be against New Zealand on 12 February.
