From next month, Indian cricket fans will be entertained by the IPL 2021. On April 9, 2021, the much-anticipated domestic cricket T20 tournament will begin with the first match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Although the Mumbai Indians are the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bangalore are aiming for their first IPL title.

5. AB de Villiers – 12 Sixes
AB de Villiers scored an undefeated 129-run knock in the 2016 IPL, which included 12 sixes. This innings ranks 5th in terms of the most sixes struck in an inning. In a battle against Gujarat Lions, De Villiers hit the winning run for Royal Challengers Bangalore. De Villiers has crossed ten boundaries in his innings, scoring 129 runs off only 52 deliveries. Due to De Villiers’ incredible knock, Royal Challengers Bangalore reached 248/3 and won the match by 144 runs.
4. Chris Gayle – 12 Sixes
Chris Gayle’s 117-run innings off 57 balls in the 2015 IPL ranks fourth in the list of most sixes in a batsman’s innings. For his innings, the West Indian batsman struck 12 sixes and seven boundaries. The match took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab. Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 226/3 in 20 overs thanks to Gayle’s brilliant innings, eventually winning by 138 runs.
3. Chris Gayle – 13 Sixes
Chris Gayle is also the third-most sixes-hitting batter in an inning. When playing for RCB in the IPL 2012, the West Indies batsman struck 13 sixes. Chris Gayle, a left-handed batsman, scored 128 runs in just 62 deliveries, including seven boundaries. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils competed in the contest. When batting first, RCB scored 215-1 with Gayle remaining unbeaten on 128. The match was won by Royal Challengers Bangalore by 21 runs.
2. Brendon McCullum- 13 Sixes
Brendon McCullum is second on the list of batters who have struck the most sixes in an inning. Brendon McCullum hit 13 sixes in his landmark 158-run knock in the first-ever IPL match in IPL 2008. In the match, the former New Zealand captain also hit 10 boundaries while bowling just 73 deliveries to cross 158 runs. Brendon McCullum’s superb knock helped his team Kolkata Knight Riders to 222/3 in 20 overs and a 140-run victory.
1. Chris Gayle- 17 Sixes
Chris Gayle’s unbeaten 175 runs in the 2013 Indian Premier League set a new record for the most sixes by a batsman in an inning. Gayle struck a whopping 17 sixes during the knock, which is also the highest-ever individual knock in IPL history. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Pune Warriors competed in the series. Gayle also hit 13 boundaries in the game, and his 175 runs came from only 66 balls. In 20 overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 263/5, the highest team total in the IPL. The match was dominated by RCB by 130 runs.
