WIPL Prediction 2023: Confirmed 8 IPL franchises are running for WIPL team

At least 8 out of 10 men’s IPL franchises will bid for a dedicated women’s IPL team. BCCI will announce the winning cities along with the franchise when it launches the sealed offering on January 25th.

ESPNcricinfo has confirmed that Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and IPL Champions Gujarat Titans are bidding. The remaining two of his IPL franchises, Royal Challenger Bangalore and Lucknow Supergiants, have confirmed whether they have purchased the tender documents and whether they will participate in the women’s IPL tender by five teams due to start in March. I haven’t checked if

The IPL team wasn’t the only one to purchase the tender documents that BCCI put up for sale on January 3rd. Interested bidders have until 13 January to submit their questions, with 23 January being the deadline to submit technical proposals for evaluation, BCCI and Mumbai-based law firm Argus Partners. We will work together to implement it.

BCCI has listed her 10 cities and venues in India for the tender, allowing one party to bid in multiple cities. There is no standard price setting, and we will accept bids for 10 years (2023-32).

Among the eligibility criteria set out in the tender documents, BCCI states that the bidder’s verified net worth must be at least her INR 10000 crore as of 31 March 2022. Consortiums or joint ventures are not eligible, according to BCCI. How are offers evaluated?
BCCI has included an important clause in the selection of the winning bidder, stating that it is “not obliged to accept the highest offer.” This is similar to the terms the ICC put in place last year when it sold media rights to the 2023-27 global women’s event. BCCI says it will explore bidders’ visions to increase visibility and accelerate the growth of women’s cricket in India.

Listing the objectives that BCCI hopes for potential bidders, BCCI said:
“We will build a stable, successful, financially secure, long-term franchise to join the league. Ensure the reach and audience of the league as wide as possible. To support at level Maximize and strengthen the exposure of each official sponsor of the league wherever possible Increase and enhance the presence of women’s cricket in India both within India and in the rest of the world To go.”

In its call for applications, BCCI designated her March as her WIPL timeframe. BCCI has yet to officially announce the dates for its first season, but it is expected to start around March 5th and end around March 23rd.
